Street children, poverty, starvation. The social divide between rich and poor. These well-known terms bring certain images to mind when they are heard. But are we, people who mostly live without substantial problems, able to understand what these terms mean without ever having experienced them first hand? What does it mean to sleep rough on the street? What happens when the gap between rich and poor gets so big that it is utterly impossible to change it? We, twelve students and young employees, traveled around India for three weeks to find out more about what it means to live in poverty.
